Imi place orasul, desi nu m-as vedea locuind in el. Are gradini si parcuri minunate.
What can you do on a rainy Sunday? Usually not much, but we chose to visit Belgium’s capital, Bruxelles. And it was a great idea, because it was warmer than in Rotterdam. We were thinking at one point, on the highway, to go back, because there was heavy rain, but we decided to go anyway.
The town is gorgeous, different from the Flemish part of Belgium, typical French. The city center was very crowded, but pleasant in the same time. Everywhere you could smell waffles, and the candy shops invited us to go in, with Belgian chocolate, macarons and chocolate fountains. I tried some types of macarons, with raspberries and chocolate, oranges and olives. Belgian beer stores were present, they have many varieties.
I love the city, although I would not see me living in it. It has lovely parks and gardens. We visited the Atomium, a very interesting building, it is 102 m tall. It was built in 1958 for an exhibition and its nine spheres are 18 m in diameter. Near Atomium is a huge park, which I visited last time I was in Brussels and I was impressed.
Belgium is beautiful, close to Holland, with lots of great places to visit. Next on my list is Brugge :D.
